Enge / Gavin claim championship point at Oschersleben
The InterNetX Reiter Engineering drivers Tomas Enge and Oliver Gavin produced a strong first race in the 2015 ADAC GT Masters season. Following a far from perfect qualifying, Enge had to start the weekend’s first race from 14th place in the SaReNi Camaro GT3 and was able to move up to eleventh on the opening lap. Before making the mandatory pit stop in the 32nd minute of the race, Enge defended this position against the forceful competition.
Oliver Gavin took over driving duties in the powerful V8 GT3 and re-joined the race in eleventh place. The Briton repeatedly tried to exploit the top speed advantage of the SaReNi Camaro GT3 to improve positon on track. However, the competition were not so easily dislodged from the points scoring ranks. Only 5 minutes before the end, shortly before the safety car was deployed again following an accident, was Oliver Gavin able to grab a point for tenth place.
